탐정 소설로 백만장자가 된 베스트셀러 작가가 수퍼모델급 미모의 경찰과 사건을 해결하는 미드 "Castle" 

잘 만든 미드에 속한다고 볼수는 없으나 능청스런 남자주인공 Castle과 전형적인 동유럽 미녀인 경찰 Beckett 보는 맛에 정말 볼거 없으면 한편씩 보게 된다

Castle의 모범생 귀요미 딸 Alexis가 스탠포드 대학에 지원했다가 떨어지고 아빠한테 대학 입학 허가를 못받은 것에 대한 고민을 얘기한다.

Castle : What's wrong?

Alexis : Everything. How do you do it,dad?

Castle : Do what?

Alexis : Well...the letter that you have framed in your office.

Castle : My first manuscript rejection?

Alexis : Yeah....how can you stand having it there?

Castle :Because it drives me. And I got 20 more of these before black pawn ever agreed to publish "In a hail of bullets"

That letter....that letter reminds me of what I've overcome.

Rejection isn't a failure.

Alexis : It sure feels like failure.

Castle :No, failure is giving up.

Everybody gets rejected.

It's how you handle it that determines where you'll end up.

뭐 전형적인 흔한 위로로 보일수 있지만....시간이 지나면서 방향을 찾을 수 있을거라는 말은 사실 동감이 가는 말이었다.
